Thank you for using the MBF's Join on Line feature. In order to complete the application process online, you will be required to upload the following documents (in pdf format):
  1. Australian Class 1 Medical
  2. Proof of Citizenship (passport/birth certificate or Certificate of Citizenship), or proof of Residency (drivers licence or utilities bill with Australian address)
  3. Medical reports for items declared during completion of the health declaration
  4. Proof of employment
In order to obtain Australian Air Pilots MBF Loss of Licence protection applicants must meet the eligibility requirements set out in Rule 2 of the Rules. These include:
  • being a member of the Australian Federation of Air Pilots (AFAP);
  • holding a current commercial pilots licence or higher;
  • holding a current Australian Class 1 Medical Certificate;
  • being aged less than 50 years;
  • deriving their principal source of income from piloting activities; and
  • being resident in Australia or an Australian citizen.
